Consider holding a
Purina Points SPO Qualifying Trials
Requirements:
- Must
first notify Eddie Wiley from Purina at 502-535-0026 to inform him you intend
to hold a Purina Points Trial. The best time to reach Eddie is early
in the morning (7:00 a.m.
or so), and a 45-60 day advance notice is required in order to prepare the
necessary coupons.
- Trial
must be advertised as a Purina Points Trial in one of the major beagling magazines
- If the
trial is for 2 classes, you receive $190 worth of “buy one, get one free”
Purina dog food coupons to distribute to your winners (1st
place through NBQ – 10 coupons)
- If the
trial is for 4 classes, you receive $380 worth of “buy one, get one free”
Purina dog food coupons to distribute to your winners (1st
place through NBQ – 20 coupons)
- Results
must be turned in to Eddie Wiley PROMPTLY!
All results must be in Eddie’s hands by the end of January or the
club entries will not be recognized.
Do NOT miss this deadline.
- Each
club is allowed to sponsor one Purina Points Trial per year (it cannot be
held in conjunction with an AKC Licensed Trial)
- Competition
year runs from January 1-December 31
- The
AKC Purina SPO National Championship Trial counts for double points in the
competition
- Winners
are announced at the AKC Nationals each April in Kentucky
- Highest
Ranked Hound receives $1500 and a portrait valued at $2500. If the
winner is an active member of the Pro-Club, they will receive an
additional $1500 for winning, for a total cash winning of $3,000.
- The
three highest ranked hounds in the other classes will each receive
$500. If an active member of the Pro-Club, they would receive an
additional $500, for a total of $1000.
- You
must be a member and redeem your Pro-Club points prior to May 1st
in order to be eligible for the extra money awarded.
